Transforming lives through music
This auditioned SATB choir is looking for choral singers with strong musicianship, exceptional ensemble skills, and a willingness/ability to adapt to feedback. Previous choral experience and an ability to read music are both strong assets in this ensemble. We are auditioning singers ages 25 and older.
Under the direction of Will de Sousa, Tides strives to create opportunities for singers to grow as artists and individuals, and gain a sense of belonging through involvement in a welcoming community. The environment Will and his singers create together is built on empathy, dedication, and authenticity.
High-Level Choral Training
For singers with strong prior music experience; audition required. This is a high-commitment ensemble, where singers will explore a large amount of challenging music.
Advanced Skill Development
Focus on healthy vocal technique, musicianship, and performance skills, taught through challenging and engaging repertoire.
Leadership & Community
A welcoming environment where connection is emphasized, confidence is built, and singers are given opportunities to grow as individuals, community members, and leaders.
Performance Experience
At least 6 concerts per year, plus other community performances such as collaborations with other community choirs and performances at senior’s homes.
How to Join

Request an audition here.
Singers must be 25 years old or older to join this group. Singers 19 and older who are simultaneously participating in the Youth Choir may be accepted as well.

Auditions will include vocal technique exercises, learning a prepared choral piece, and sight reading.

Upon acceptance, pay registration fees and attend weekly rehearsals and performances. Tides performs at least 6 times per season from September to June.
